Shirley M. Wells, 95, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Friendship Manor-Silver Cross, Rock Island.  Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

Shirley was born on January 6, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Ross and Mabel (Bumann) Boylan.  She married William Wells in St. Louis, MO in 1944.  Shirley lived in Chicago and worked as a secretary.  William and Shirley wintered in Florida for 25 years, and after retirement went to Bagby, WI.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Emma Foley; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; parents; one brother; and one sister.
