Shirley L. Freimark, 82, of Rock Island passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Generations – Rock Island.  Funeral services for Shirley will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7 ^th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.

Shirley was born on April 30, 1936 in Smithshire, IL, a daughter of Melvin R. and Schrilda (Rosenbalm) Painter.  She worked as a caregiver for children and greatly enjoyed her job.  Shirley loved her family and spending time with children.  In earlier years, Shirley also enjoyed camping, reading and visiting local casinos.

Left to cherish Shirley's memory are: her daughters, Julie (Joe Edwards) Rind, Rock Island and Celinda (Richard) Wilt, Milan; grandchildren, Jeremy (Elise), Lyndsey (Chris), Gina (Jeff), Megan (Ryan), Sarah (Tony); 7 great grandchildren and many other loving family member and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and daughter, Lori DeSpain Hodge
