Shirley Adeline Struble, 85, of Rock Island, died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab, Rock Island. Cremation rites were accorded. Per Shirley's wishes, services will be private. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, is assisting the family.

Shirley was born on September 10, 1930 in Turin, Iowa, a daughter of Ralph Sr. and Delilah Bomar Parks. She graduated from Castana High School, Iowa, and retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Neb.

She is survived by her son, Craig Stuart, Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Johonna (Omar), Carly, Ian, Alan and Caitlin; sisters, Dolores Parks, Pittsburg, Pa. and Kay Danner, Moline; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her special friend, Herb, parents, and brothers, Ralph Parks Jr. and Vaughn Parks.

Shirley will be greatly missed by all.

Shirley will be remembered for her delicious cooking and her love of music and family. The family wishes to thank Hospice and the staff at St. Anthony's for the loving care they provided for Shirley.
