Songolo Lolonga, 38, of Rock Island, native of Democratic Republic of the Congo, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident.  Friends may express their sympathy at a drive through only visitation from 9:00am to 11:30pm Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island.  Due to public gathering restriction's you will be directed when you arrive, and you will not be permitted to exit or gather outside of your vehicle.  A live-streamed funeral will be at 11:30 am Saturday by visiting www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream.  Burial will be private at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Songolo was born in Lusenda, Democratic Republic of the Congo on January 1, 1982, a son of Mimembe Lolonga and Sabina Nasende.  Songolo is married to Andjelani Omari.  He was currently working at Tyson Foods, Joslin, Ill.

Songolo is survived by his wife, Andjelani Omari; children, Aldophina Ebubu, Bahati Songolo, Bertha Songolo, Mmembe Songolo and Sakina Songolo; and parents, Mimembe Lolonga and Sabina Nasende.
