Stella G. Anderson, 98, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Silver Cross Health and Rehabilitation Pavilion, Rock Island.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at First Lutheran Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Rock Island.

Stella was born on June 10, 1919 in Sunberry, IA, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Pruess) Miller.  She married Harold I. Anderson on January 16, 1943 in Moline, IL.  Stella enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and cards, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling with family.

Stella is survived by her children, Harold "Gordon" Anderson, Bettendorf, Gloria (Jack) Underwood, Davenport, Geraldine (David) Kingan, Moline, Garna Anderson, Pittsburg, PA, and Gregory Anderson, Prophetstown, IL; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Edna Moeller; and great grandson, Benjamin Kingan.
