Stephen Joseph Mrazek, 61, of Silvis, died Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial mass will be 10 am Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be an hour prior to the mass at church.  Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the American Heart Association.

Stephen was born in Rock Island on December 8, 1957, a son of Joseph J. and Elizabeth Ketter Mrazek.  Stephen graduated from Alleman High School in 1975 and received associates degrees from Black Hawk College, Moline, and Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg.

Stephen was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island, and of the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center where he enjoyed water aerobics.  One of Stephen's favorite pastimes was fishing.  He was also an avid Chicago Bears and NASCAR fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Elizabeth (Ed) McQuillan, Lisle, Ill. and Patrice Johannsen, Woodridge, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Thomas Mrazek and brother-in-law, Robert Johannsen.
