Stephen K. Petty, 64, of Bettendorf, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services are 1 pm Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport.  Visitation is 4 to 6 Thursday at the funeral home.

Stephen was born March 17, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, a son of Richard and Jackie Dauffenbach Petty.

He attended the University of Northern Iowa.  Stephen had owned and operated West's Office Equipment, which had locations in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Stephen enjoyed writing and also watching movies and golfing.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Nicolette Petty, Bettendorf; daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Andrew DeLashmutt, Chicago;  grandchildren, Cora and Porter; and his parents, Richard and Jackie, of Davenport.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey.
