Susan C. Sampson, 58, of Milan, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at home.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

Susan was born on July 15, 1967 in Rock Island, a daughter of George and Gwendolyn (Weekly) Otto. She married Kevin Sampson on October 15, 1994. Sue worked as a hairstylist for her entire career. First at South Park Mall for System 7, later Hair Classics, and most recently for Designer's 3 in Milan. She had a passion for her job and enjoyed bringing client's personalities out through their hairstyle.

Susan thoroughly enjoyed cooking and always made sure that friends and family were well fed. She had a heart of gold and was committed to advocating for others.

Those left to cherish Susan's memory include her husband, Kevin Sampson; fur baby, Timmy; mother-in-law, Brenda Davis; brother, Merlyn (Ann) Hood; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; fur babies, Shaky and Xena; and brothers, Gene "Buddy" Otto and Michael Hood.
