Susan L. Parker , 74, of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday January 31, 2022 at her home.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Susan was  born May 19, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of William and Brucie Morgan Young. She married Alvin Odell Parker on May 12, 1969 in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2009.

Susan was a C.N.A. for 21 years for Vista Pacific in California.

Her favorite times were those spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved caring for her pets and animals. She was an avid QC Mallards fan, and enjoyed photography and listening to gospel music.

Surviving are her children, Jamie L. (Aimee) Young, Carbon Cliff, IL, Shannon M. Chavez (fiancé, Jimmy Carlile), East Moline, IL, and Lester W. Parker (fiancée, Shannon Edmunds, Hampton, IL; grandchildren, Christopher Parker, Jeffery Parker, Carlyn Bever, Caleb Young, Thea Brown and Jacob Edmunds; great grandchildren, Blaze, Destiny, Infinity, Desire, Jessa, Morty, Jaedyn, and one on the way; sister, Barbara L. Roberts, East Moline; numerous nieces, nephews, and additional family; and special friend, Crystal Barker, Idaho.

Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Lee Parker; parents; and her brother, Gregory Young.
