Susy A. Birditt, 73, of Coal Valley, passed away Wednesday May 29, 2024 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday June 8, 2024 from 12:30-2:00 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  The service may also be viewed online at https://vimeo.com/952954478/da10c6bf0b. The family will greet friends prior to the service, from 12-12:30.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Susy's name may be directed to the family for an educational fund to be established at a later date.

Susy was born on December 12, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Malcolm and Antonella "Toni" (DiCristofari) Hogan. She married her beloved, Charles "Tadd" Birditt.

Susy was employed at John Deere as an Engineering Analyst.  She retired from John Deere in March 2014. After her retirement, Susy loved volunteering with the Rock Island School District, shopping, traveling, her doggie Bruno and spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles "Tadd" Birditt, Coal Valley; daughters, Arica Wright, Des Moines, Toni Birditt, Chicago, Phyllis "Pinky" Birditt, Atlanta; grandchildren, Jalen Carter Birditt, Elise Briscoe; sisters, Tina Hogan and Mica Johnson. Her niece Lory Kerner; nephew, Jeremy Johnson, a host of great nieces nephews, cousins and lifelong best friends!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Antonietta Hogan.
