Tamalea M. Proehl, 72, of Milan, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.  Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial visitation will be Tuesday from 3-6 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Memorials may be made in care of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities.

Tamalea was born in El Paso, Texas on December 31, 1945, a daughter of James and Mary Bundren Richards.

Tamalea was currently working for M.H.P Investments, Milan.  She had also started, All Animals Human Society, in Milan which she ran for several years in the mid 2000's.

She was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Geri (James) Loete, Milan; sons, Gary Proehl, LeClaire, Iowa and Paul (Kim) Proehl, Milan; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Ann, Tennessee, Norma (Gary) Davis, Ft. Madison, Iowa, Penny (Michael) Wolfe, Burlington, Iowa and Carl (Margie) Wolfe, Arizona; special niece, Cherie Kutcher, Durant, Iowa; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Greg Proehl, grandson, Brandon Witte and siblings, Madeline Johnson and Ken Richards and John Wolfe.
