Teresa E. Dolan Cotter , 94, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Friday August 13, 2021 at Generations Retirement Home, Rock Island.

A private family service was held at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral and Crematory, Rock Island. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to ARCH, Inc., P.O. Box 278, Clinton, IA 52733.

Teresa was born July 10, 1927 in Clinton County, a daughter of Roman and Clara Manikowski Wisor.

Early in life, she was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Clinton County for many years.  She often reminisced and recalled many stories about her students.  Later in life, she worked at the Rock Island Arsenal with government contracts.  Teresa was a wonderful person and always had a positive attitude. She tried to see the best in everything and everyone.  Her interests included music, fine arts and travelling.  She enjoyed good food and was a wonderful cook.  She will be missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Colleen Cathcart, Geneseo, IL; grandsons, Brandon and Charlie Cathcart; sister, Sister Marjorie Wisor, OSF, Clinton, IA; brother, Robert Wisor, Iowa City, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Bud Dolan and her second husband Charles Cotter.
