Tessa L. Horton, 15, of Milan, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. Services for Tessa will be 11 am, Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Reynolds Cemetery. Memorials may be made to family. Tessa was born on October 31, 2001 in Rock Island, a daughter of Karen Crowe and John Horton. She was a sophomore at Rockridge High School. Tessa loved participating in Track and Field, Panda's, FFA, arts and crafts, shopping, traveling and her dog, Zada. Survivors include her parents, Karen Christensen (James Sanderson), Milan, John (Stephanie) Horton, Moline; grandparents, Duane and Brenda Moffitt, Milan, Wade Crowe, Springfield, Joe and Shari Bottoms, Muscatine, John Horton, Silvis; great grandparents, Lenora Lee, Moline, Geneva Crowe, Milan, John and Lorraine Horton, East Moline; siblings, Gage Zvonik, Milan, Alexis Horton, Silvis, Devon Horton, Moline; several aunts and uncles; and her best friend, Katie Jones. Tessa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Verlin Lee and Merle and Virginia Moffitt. Tessa's family would like to thank the nurses, A.J., Darcey and Kimberly who took care of Tessa.
