Tevin "T.J." Jamaal Johnston, 34, of Rock Island, passed away on September 11, 2025.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00PM Saturday September 27, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island.

Tevin was born to the late Levelle Herron and Marsha Marie Johnston. Tevin was a free spirit, who lived a life filled with Love, Laughter, Poetry and songs. He spent most of his academic years at South Pemiscot High School, where he excelled in his studies. In 2008, he attened Job Corps, where he received his High School Diploma and a certificate in plumbing.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Marsha Marie Johnston; brothers, Jabari Herron, Javon Herron, Levelle Herron Jr., and DeCore Aaron Johnston; sisters, Michelle Pugh, Tracy Hampton, Talisa Cooper, Sascha Johnston and Whitley Hubanks; a host of uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and loved ones.
