Thang Uk, 51, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Allure of Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Quad Cities Chin Baptist Church (QCBC), 4021 9 ½ Street, East Moline, Illinois. Burial will follow at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting with the arrangements.

Thang was born on May 14, 1974, in Falam, Myanmar, to Sa Vum and Sui Tial. Thang earned a college degree in Burma and worked for the DENSO Corporation. Thang enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and going to church.

Survivors include his mother, Sui Tial, and sister, Dawt Hnem.

Thang was preceded in death by his father, Sa Vum.
