He later served in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corp from 1953 - 1955.

At the young age of 11 he knew he would study to become a Doctor. After finishing his residency in general surgery he specialized in vascular surgery. Dr. Grevas was an avid golfer and enjoyed every aspect of the game and continued to play until just a year ago. He also enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, wintering in Florida, morning coffee klatches at Theo's Java Club and with his warm smile and kind hand he loved 'working the room' at social gatherings.
