Theodore H. "Ted" Bisom, 84, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home.  Private inurnment with military honors will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ted was born on December 25, 1935 in Newton, Iowa, a son of Clarence and Lillian (Iske) Bisom.  After serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps., he returned home to Newton, Iowa and married Connie Jo York on June 1, 1962.  Ted worked for Letica Trucking in Muscatine for over 25 years as a semi-truck driver.  Previously, he worked for Kraft Foods in Milan for over 20 years.  He was a proud member of the Marine Corps League and the Knights of Pythias.  Ted was known for his sarcastic and witty sense of humor among those who knew him best.  He loved attending his grandson's sporting events and taking his family fishing.  In earlier years, Ted enjoyed hunting.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Connie Jo Bisom; children, Michael Bisom and Lisa (Taegan) Bisom; bonus daughter, Jennifer Tacker; grandchildren, Christopher Bisom, Aven Monaghan, Kallen Bisom and Ashten Frerker; great grandchild, Aenea Bisom and siblings, Lucille Burton, Helen Hale, Earl Bisom and Robert Bisom.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
