Thomas P. Barnett, 65, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015. Memorial services for Tom will be 12pm, Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Tom was born on April 28, 1949 in Davenport, a son of Robert and Dorothy (Kane) Barnett. He married Kathryn Frances on May 13, 1972 in Rock Island. Tom worked in sales and marketing for Advantage Sales. Previously he owned and operated T & K Distribution and had worked for Outdoor Sports, Dayton, Ohio. Tom was a member of Quad Cities In-Fisherman Club, Rock Island. He enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds and squirrels, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his family and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; sons, Andrew Barnett, Rock Island, Chad Barnett, Rock Island; siblings, Jay (Connie) Barnett, Gilbert, AZ., and Martin Barnett, Boulder, CO.; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kathryn Williamson. Online condolences may be left for the family at wheelanpressly.com
