Thomas G. Yeager, 72, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday February 16,
2017 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
Services for Tom will be held 10:00am, Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly
Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm, Monday
at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alleman High School.
Tom was born on September 12, 1944 in Rock Island, the son of
Richard and Geraldine (Braden) Yeager. He married Mary Liestman on
September 17, 1966.
Mr. Yeager was employed as a electrician with IBEW Local 145 for 40
years, last working at Koehler Electric, Davenport.
He loved woodworking and built many things for family and friends.
Tom also enjoyed golf trips with his buddies and stopping by Kavanaugh's Hilltop Tavern.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Mary;
daughter and son in law, Pam and Mark Everts, Plano, TX; granddaughters,
Lily and Sophie Everts; siblings, Sue (Jerry) Flower, NY, Richard
(Judi) Yeager Jr., Rock Island; Larry (Bonni) Yeager, MO, and Sandra
Yeager (Stuart Muncer), FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a infant daughter.
