Tiffany L. Holmes, 40, of East Moline, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center - Illini Campus, Silvis. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Tiffany was born on July 16, 1975 in Moline, a daughter of Louis B. Holmes, Sr. and Deborah J. Barber. Her Godfather is Virgil Mayberry. She married Turamiere "T.C." Lewis on July 19, 2003 at Temple Baptist Church, Davenport, IA.
Tiffany attended classes at Western Illinois University, Carl Sandberg College and graduated with her Associates Degree from Brown Mackie College in Davenport. She was currently employed as a supervisor with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center in Davenport.
Tiffany was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Davenport, and the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society. She enjoyed participating in the student hunger drives and was part of the dance team when she attended Western Illinois University.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Turamiere "T.C."Lewis, East Moline; her children, Treasur and Travis Lewis, East Moline; mother, Deborah (Bill) Harrison, Rock Island; siblings, Louis B. (Tamra) Holmes, Jr., Davenport, Lowell B. (Laukesha) Holmes, Lydia (Thaddeus) White and Staff Sergeant LaRance G. Barber-Holmes, all of Atlanta, Ga., and Lincoln E. Holmes, Bloomington, Il.; grandfather, Rev. Gabriel (Lee Qulia) Barber, III, Rock Island; aunt, Marsha Barber-Jones, and uncle, Gabriel A. Barber, IV, both of Rock Island; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis, grandmother Estella Clay, uncle Percy Holmes and her little great-grandmother Lillie McCoy.
