Timothy E. McMeen, 56, of Milan, Ill., passed away Friday January 26, 2018 at his home.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Following visitation there will be a procession from the funeral home to National Cemetery, Arsenal Island for a graveside service and military honors at 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family.

Timothy was born January 2, 1962 in Galesburg, Ill., a son of Max and Dorothy Downard McMeen. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. Following his retirement, he enjoyed assisting with area veteran programs and the annual Stand-Down for homeless veterans in the Quad Cities.

He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing and NASCAR. He also loved music.

Surviving are his parents, Max and Dorothy McMeen, Milan; brothers, Kevin McMeen, Davenport, Bruce (Lori) McMeen, Davenport, Scott McMeen, Milan, Kurt (Theresa) McMeen, Bettendorf, and Karl (Tammy) McMeen, Colona; numerous nieces, nephews, and additional family; and best friend, Sarah.

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandparents.
