Tina K. Nelson, 56, of Rock Island, died Friday, March 31, 2023 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.  A memorial service will be 1 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. The service will also be live-streamed by visiting www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream.  Visitation will be from 12 – 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will take place at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of The Family House in Peoria, Illinois.

Tina was born in Davenport, Iowa on April 30, 1966, a daughter of Larry Lee Sr. and Adina "Lillie" Hurtado Hart.  She married Kenneth Nelson on February 14, 1995.

Tina graduated from Rock Island High School.  She always enjoyed working with children. Tina became a teacher's aide where she worked for The Arc of the Quad Cities for several years.  Once she started her family, she stayed home to help raise her own children.

Tina enjoyed singing, dancing and will always be known as the life of the party.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth Nelson, Rock Island; son, Brandon Nelson, Davenport; and siblings, Annette Reyes Davis, Rock Island, Sherri Hart, Davenport, Cindy Rellias, Davenport, Larry Lee Hart Jr., Minnesota, Richie Hart, Rock Island, Brandi Pascal, Davenport and Tiffany Hart.

She was preceded in death by her son, Isaiah Kenneth Cory Nelson and daughter, Lillie Elizabeth Nelson.
