Todd E. Whelan, 51, of Sherrard, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the family.

Todd was born January 21, 1964 in Quincy, IL, the son of Everett and Ruth (Lohman) Whelan. He married Victoria Schweiss in 1990, they later seperated. Todd worked as an independent agent at Country Financial Group in Viola. He enjoyed watching Chicago Blackhawk hockey, going motorcycle and snowmobile riding, and any other outdoor activity.

Todd is survived by his three sons, Matthew (Kearisten) Whelan, Milan, Austin and Nathan Whelan, both of Sherrard; step-father, Joseph Hultz; mother-in-law, Carol Schweiss; father-in-law, Walter Schweiss; brother-in-law, William Schweiss; and sister-in-law, Tracy Schweiss. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Whelan; and sister, Carol Whelan.
