Toney Robinson III, 75, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday October 9, 2024 at his home.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering starting at 1:00 PM Friday October 25, 2024 at Celebrity Events Center, 1602 Harrison Street, Davenport.

Toney was born on May 4, 1949 in Baxter, Arkansas, the son of Toney and Ardell (Robertson) Robinson Jr. After graduating high school, he had been employed at John Deere for several years.

Toney loved playing tennis, going for walks, family gatherings, photography and was known for his incredible fashionable insight, perspective on life and was the communities personal shopper .

He also enjoyed literature and education and found it his purpose to keep those around him smiling and in high spirits. When he entered a room, the walls would often echo from the joy and laughter he brought and shared.

Toney believed in setting his own expectations, life standards and creating space dedicated to one's own personal fulfillment.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Troy Shivers, Davenport, Geovanti Steward, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dionna Reed, Rock Island; several grandchildren; siblings, Shirbie J. Orr, Joyce (Scotty) Butler, Shirley Scott, Nawasa Campbell, Doyle Robertson, Rickey Robinson; a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Toney Jr. and Ardell; brother, Rudolph Applegate and sister Jerley Mae Shelton.
