Travis Lee McDonough, 50, Rock Island, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Travis was born on July 31, 1975 to Gary and Helen (Emanuel) McDonough in Moline, IL. He graduated from Rock Island High School and then started his career at Moline Forge as a welder. Travis later worked at McLaughlin before becoming a handyman to those who needed it, including helping his son remodel his first home.

A devoted sports fan, Travis cheered for the Yankees, Celtics, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Notre Dame. More recently, he had developed an interest in tennis. One of his greatest joys was watching his daughter play softball. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cornhole, darts, shuffleboard, and pool. He was so excited and proud to be a grandpa.

He will be greatly missed by mother, Helen; children, Harlee and Tristen McDonough; girlfriend, Carrie Kerr; stepsons, Josef and Jordan Cooke; granddaughter, Marlee Roberson; sisters, Kathy McDonough and Patty (Darren) Spicer; nephews, Ryan Wage, Tyler Mincks, and Nolan McDonough.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary; and beloved dog, Bailee Rae.
