Twila J. Hook, a resident of The Fountains, Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of Rantoul, Ill., died Friday, June 10, 2016 at The Fountains.

Funeral services are 11 am Wednesday at Bethany Park Christian Church, Rantoul.  Visitation is 10 am until service time Wednesday at the church.  Burial is at Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, Ill., is assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. SW, #103, Lilburn, GA  30047.

Twila Boblett was born Jan. 20, 1930 in Shelbyville, Ill., a daughter of Dewey J. and Daphna I. Bridges Boblett.  She married Lawrence E. "Larry" Hook on Sept. 20, 1948 in Kentucky.  He died Oct. 26, 2013.

Mrs. Hook retired from First National Bank, Rantoul, where she had served as Vice President and Cashier.  She later worked for Edward E. Jones in Rantoul.

Twila was a long-time member of Bethany Park Christian Church and had served as its treasurer for many years.  She had also been a member of the Professional Business Women.  Twila loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children and attended all their events while they were growing up, even if it meant a six hour drive round trip.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Betty Boblett, Geneseo, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Larry.
