Tyrone D. Henderson Sr., 51, of Rock Island passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials may be left in care of the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Tyrone was born on April 20, 1972 in Chicago, IL, a son of Alfred Henderson and Rozenia (Beasley) Carr. He worked as a painter for McLaughlin Body Shop.

Tyrone's hobbies included playing basketball and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Rock Island.

Those left to cherish Tyrone's memory include his partner of 18 years, Angela Teague; children, Tyree (Nashima) Henderson, Tyeisha Henderson, Tyron (Eugetsakyi) Henderson Jr. and Tytianna Henderson; step children, Jameshia and James; grandchildren, Tyree Jr., Tymon, Tyshaun, America, Aniyah, Ammirrona, Jayla, Jamya, McKenzie, Eric, Taharqa, Amanirenas and one on the way; siblings, John Carr, Brenda Banks and Patrice Lockett; and a host of extended family.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
