Vera M. Shaw, 90, of Milan, passed away Tuesday March 31, 2015.
Private services will be held at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan.
Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the American Heart Association.
Vera was born on December 29, 1924 in Rock Island, the daughter of Walter and Lora (Paul) Bangston. She was a graduate of Rock Island High School, where she played the French horn in the marching band. Vera married Lenvil J. Shaw on October 3, 1948 in Moline. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1997.
She had been a homemaker her adult life, staying home to raise their four children.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the Big Island Birthday Club and had formerly been active with the Mothers Singers.
Survivors include her children, Kathy (Terry) Howell, Coal Valley, Cindee Aubry, Tucson, AZ, David (Aimee) Shaw, Rock Island, Stephen Shaw, Milan; grandchildren, Scott, Corey, Laura, Hilary, India, Justin, Ivy, Joshua, Lucas; great grandchildren, Connor, Cassandra, Samuel, Sabrina, Melyni, Logan, Kinley, Devon, Marcus, Carter, Sadie, Tillie, Kahlan, Evan and Quinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
