Verl L. Koller, 67, of Coal Valley, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home.   Private graveside services and inurnment will be at a later date in Prairie City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Verl's brother, Lyle Koller.  Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family with arrangements.

Verl was born March 4, 1952 in Bushnell, a son of Ray L. and Betty J. (Clayberg) Koller.  He married Linda J. Thurman on July 2, 1980 in Macomb.  Linda passed away on August 13, 2010.  Verl worked as a union painter for many years, mainly painting water towers.  He finished his career as a semi driver.  He loved watching Westerns, drinking beer and spending time with his family.  Verl was a proud NRA member and Eagle Scout.

Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Michele Goswick; brothers, Dennis (Beverly) Koller, Springfield,  Lyle Koller, Galesburg and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda and his parents.
