Vicki L. Seeck, 68, of Bettendorf, IA passed away on Friday, January 8th, 2021, peacefully in her sleep. She was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa.  A memorial service will be private at St. Paul Lutheran Church, however, a live-stream broadcast will be available for viewing at 10:00 am Friday, January 15, 2021 by visiting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/.88233907020?pwd=TmZoaG9TSkllUIJaV1RZMVY4SIIRUT09, message ID:  882 3390 7020 and passcode: 2136.  Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island.  Capacity limitations will be monitored and masks and social distancing will be required.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of Camp Shalom, Inc.

Vicki was born on August 7, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of Elliott and Donna Wedle Whoolery.  She was the eldest of seven siblings. Vicki wed John W. Seeck on May 17th, 1979. They had two daughters, Catherine and Kristen.

Vicki spent a majority of her childhood in Brainerd, Minnesota. She went on to earn a degree in History and Political Science from Valparaiso University and then went on to receive her law degree from the University of Iowa. After graduating with honors, Vicki went on to have an accomplished career both as a Partner in private practice and as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Iowa. Her love for reading also led her to become a children's librarian for the Bettendorf Public Library.

To those that know her best, she will always be remembered for her empathy and love for everyone around her. Her love of sports was unmatched, however, her favorite sports were equestrian, baseball, softball, and tennis. Her other hobbies included quilting and traveling, her favorite place being Normandy Beach in France.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Seeck, Bettendorf; daughters, Catherine (Joe) Kautt, St. Paul, Minn. and Kristen (Clay Blum) Seeck, Peoria, Ill.; mother, Donna Whoolery; granddaughter, Charlotte Kautt; sisters, Denise (Jeff) Gray and Allison (Brian) Johnson; and brothers, Stephen (Teri) Whoolery and Jeffrey Whoolery.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elliott Whoolery, brother, John Whoolery and sister, Lisa Whoolery.
