Vicki L. Winters, 59, of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus on December 31, 2015 at her home.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Joan Westmoreland.
Vicki was born December 25, 1956 in Rock Island, a daughter of Wesley, Sr. and Joan (Derigo) Westmoreland. She married Michael Eugene Winters in March of 1974 in Moline. He preceded her in death in April of 1986.
Vicki was a certified nurse's aide. She had worked at Rosewood Care Center and later at St. Anthony's in Rock Island. She also owned and operated a daycare service.
She enjoyed playing guitar, caring for her grandchildren, spending time with her family, and helping others when needed. Her faith was important to her, she enjoyed sharing the word of God with others.
Surviving are her children, Mike, Chad, and Ashley, all of Rock Island; and the children she was blessed to help raise, Erica and Kevin; grandchildren, Austin, Koriah, Emma, La' Vayah, and Owen; great-grandchildren, Alik and Aviah; mother and father, Joan and Wesley Westmoreland, Sr.; siblings, Linda and Carl Rusk, Janet and Gale Wingert, Jayme Westmoreland, Gale Cole, Doug Westmoreland, Danny and Terri Westmoreland, and Gary Westmoreland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Winters; her life companion following Mike's death, Junior Hatfield; and her brother, Wesley "Butch" Westmoreland, Jr.
