Victor R. Maddalozzo, 87, of Milan, died peacefully at his daughter's home on Thursday, August 29, 2024.  A funeral service will be at 12 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan, IL.  Visitation will be from 10 am until service time on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be presented.  Memorials may be made in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Victor was born in Albia, Iowa on March 2, 1937, a son of Valentino and Italia Delsanto Maddalozzo.  He married Kathryn Plumb on April 10, 1963.  She preceded him in death on September 5, 2019.

Victor worked for the Local 81 Insulators, International Harvester – Farmall Plant and retired from the Rock Island Arsenal.

Victor had a great appreciation for his Italian Heritage.  He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and Illinois City Conservation Club.  In his earlier years, he enjoyed restoring Volkswagens.  Victor loved spending time with his grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory included his children, Tina Maddalozzo, Milan, IL and Steven Maddalozzo, Des Moines, IA; grandsons, Adam (Jennifer) Long, Aaron (Malik) Long and Michael (Jacinda Solis) Long; great-grandchildren, Carter, Elaina and Wesson; and sister, Katie Massey, Rock Island, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings, Viola Bauleo, John Maddalozzo, Valentino "Tino" Maddalozzo Jr. and three infant brothers.
