Vincent E. Nelson, 48, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at his residence.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Mt. Sinai Christian Fellowship Church of God in Christ, 4706 Northwest Blvd, Davenport, IA 52806.

Vincent was born on November 29, 1973, in Chicago, the son of Jesse Mitchell and Gladys Nelson.  He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan.  Vincent enjoyed cooking and doing needle point.  He will be remembered as a fun loving man, whom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Vincent is survived by his mother,  Gladys Nelson; children, Erica Nelson, Ra'Shi Ervin, Eric Gurley, and Ra'Kee Ervin; grandchildren, Karter, Eric, Eiress, Endia, Ermonie, and Erion Gurley; siblings, Raymond Nelson, Michael Nelson, Teresa Walker, Kym Pickett, Gwenette Robinson, Danielle Toney, Darell Brewer, Terrance Brewer, and Jeffrey Brewer; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father.
