Virginia D. King, 89, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Milan, IL, died at 4:48 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL.  Funeral services for Virginia will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Ave. E., Milan.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will take place in Preemption Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Virginia was born on August 23, 1927 in Preemption, IL, the daughter of Manford A. and Nellie L. Robinson Davidson.  She was a retired seamstress and once made an exact replica of Lady Diana's wedding dress.  Virginia also enjoyed quilting and was a member of a quilting group in Milan, IL.  She married James D. King on November 15, 1950.  He died on February 16, 1994.

She is survived by her son, James M. King and wife Jeri of Harker Heights, TX; daughter, Margie L. Campbell and husband Richard of Strasburg, IL; brother, Donald M. Davidson and wife Beverly of East Moline, IL; sisters, Mildred L. Fath of East Moline, IL and Patricia A. Lair and husband Richard of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Cody King and wife Christy, Jayme Collins and husband Dan, and Amy Campbell and fiancé T. J. Smith; two great grandchildren, Austin and Jaxson Campbell; and step great grandchildren, Danny Collins and Kenzia and Gavin Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James D. King.
