Vivian K. Grandberry, 61, of Rock Island, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be at 1 pm Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be an hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may made in care of the family.

Vivian was born on January 15, 1954 in Rock Island, a daughter of Joe and Brida Collier. She married James P. Grandberry in Rock Island in 1980. He preceded her in death.

Vivian worked as a cashier for the Kwik Shop, Clark's Corner and for the Iowa Oil Company (IOCO). She was also a homemaker.

Vivian was a member of Greater Antioch Baptist Church, Rock Island, and the NAACP, Rock Island County Branch - #3268.

Survivors include her children (and spouses), James A. (Linda) Grandberry, Davenport, Yolanda K. (Tracy) Grandberry-Pugh, Rock Island, Edgar C. (Roxxane) Grandberry, Rock Island and Michiko Grandberry, Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tyshanda and Tyquanda Washington, both of Rock Island, James C. Grandberry and Ty'Niqua Harris, both of Nashville, Tenn. and Edgar C. Grandberry Jr. and Gabrielle, Evan and Ja'Shari Grandberry, all of Rock Island; great-grandson, Tyquan Jackson; and brothers, Cleveland Carruthers, Memphis, Tenn., Carl Collier, San Diego, Calif. and Billy Collier, Rock Island.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Thelma Williams and Evelyn Collier.
