Vivian F. Winter of Rock Island, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Thursday March 2, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.  Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island.  Visitation is 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, where a Christian wake service will be held at 4 pm.  Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.

Vivian Frances Parkinson was born on April 8, in Stockton, Ill., a daughter of Francis M. and Marguerite L. Lampman Parkinson.  She married Francis Louis Winter on Nov. 3, 1945 in Moline.

She worked as a legal secretary at the law firm formerly known as, Katz, McAndrews,  Durkee and Telleen, Rock Island.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey B. Winter, Rock Island; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald G. and Joy Parkinson, Phoenix, Az.; nephews, Brad and Greg Parkinson; and niece, Pamela Ahrens.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Allen Parkinson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Ray and his staff for their patience and care.  They would also like to thank the E.R. and I.C.U. staffs of Trinity Rock Island, especially Brian and Crystal for their care and concern during Vivian's last hours.
