Vonda M. Kline, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on May 30, 1942, in Cable, Illinois, Vonda was the daughter of Benjamin A. and Anna M. (Peterson) Johnson. She was a graduate of Sherrard High School.

Vonda was first married to Massey Mosley, and together they raised three children. She later married Bruce Kline on March 8, 1981, in Rock Island, and they shared many loving years together. Vonda worked as a J1 Machine Operator before retiring.

Vonda had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, often crafting thoughtful gifts for those she loved. Her beloved Italian greyhound, Katie, held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her children, Doreen (Milo) Kral, Lucinda Reaves, and Gerald Mosley; five grandchildren; and her siblings, Velma (Jim) Crandle and LeRoy (Carolyn) Johnson.

Vonda was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Verda Young and Leslie Johnson; and her grandson, Remey Mosley.
