Warren Wayne Booker Sr., 81, of Milan, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity, Rock Island.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Burial will be private at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted.  Memorials may be made in care of the family to establish a memorial fund at a later date.

Warren was born in Riverton, Iowa on July 14, 1935, a son of David and Sussannah Evans Booker.  He married RoseMarie Hewett on December 23, 1964 in Milan.  She preceded him in death on December 15, 2015.

Warren was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He worked for many years as a welder at J.I. Case, retiring in 1997.

He was a very hard worker.  In his younger years, he would come home from work and continue working on his farm in his spare time.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Joe (Kelly) Booker, Milan; granddaughters, Kayla and Amanda Weikert; brothers, Ken (Karen) Booker, Jefferson City, Tenn. and Larry Booker, Racine, Wisc.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister and eight brothers.
