William L. Allen, 82, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at River Crossing of Moline. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. William was born on June 23, 1941, in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Gaylord and Mary (Northrup) Allen. Bill married Sandra Hall on December 28, 1963. Mr. Allen was an inspector for International Harvester Farmall Works, Rock Island for 25 years before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, boating and the outdoors. Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Tammy and Derek Kinney, Lake in the Hills, Illinois; and a grandson who is serving in the U.S. Navy, Tysen Sparbel, San Diego, California; siblings, Clifford Northrup, Galena, Illinois and Sally Shibley, Florida. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; siblings, Betty, Mary, Junior, Bobby, and Jack.
