William Hodson Brown, 82, of Moline, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Generations of Rock Island.  Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.

William was born on October 16, 1940, in Moline, the son of Bert Roy and Fama Henrietta (Snook) Brown.  He married Cornelia Marie Shutte on October 12, 1962, in Milan.  He is a graduate from Reynolds High School.  William worked as a machinist at Frank's Foundry and retired from General Grind in Aledo.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting.  William took hunting trips to hunt elk, coyote, and bear.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

William is survived by his children, Lisa Mihalopoulos, Lary Brown, Christopher (Julie Klauer) Brown, Chad (Yvonne) Brown, and Cory (Bridget) Brown; grandchildren, Chris Mihalopoulos, William Mihalopoulos, Jessica Brown, and Miranda Anderson; great granddaughter, Ivy Jane Anderson; his sweetie, Bev Parker; sister-in-law, Carla Shradar; brother-in-law, William (Donna) Shutte; and multiple nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Brown; parents; and siblings, Phyllis Edwards, Adeline Meyers, Charlotte Shaab, Roy Brown, and Bert Brown.
