William C. "Bill" Curry, 79, of Milan, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Andalusia. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Ave. E., Milan. Visitation will follow the Rosary from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Andalusia or to the Milan Food Pantry
William was born on May 4, 1938 on his family's farm in Bowling Twp., Rock Island Co., Illinois, a son of Harold and Florence (Mohr) Curry. He married Patricia A. Hauman on August 30, 1958. Bill was a 4th generation farmer in the rural Milan area. He was a devout Catholic who loved spending time with family. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where his family was one of the original members. Bill was also a member of the Farm Bureau.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pat; children, Jim Curry, Moline; Daniel (Drue) Curry, Milan; Mike (Judie) Curry, Fresno, TX and Lisa (Peter Hosutt) Curry, Bel Air, Maryland; grandchildren, Sean (Lisa Garcia) Curry, Aaron (Ashley DeVolder) Curry, Joshua Hosutt, Tessa Hosutt, Taylor, Katie, Emma and Aly Curry; step grandchildren, Marc (Maureen) Sierra, Elizabeth (Wayne) Dismer, Spencer (Betsy) Sierra, Jasmine Muniz, Samantha Sepeda and Stephen Tsouprakos; great granddaughter, Elliana Curry; step great grandchildren, Kingston Muniz, Maggie, Rosie and Ruby Sierra and Jackson and Connor Dismer; brother, Richard (Bonnie) Curry, Reynolds; brother in law, Chuck (Pam) Hauman, Rock Island; special friends, Harold and Judy Ryckaert and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
