William "Bill" Dean Fender, 75, of DeWitt, Iowa, formerly of Rock Island, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.  Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, with visitation from 12:00 to service time.  Cremation rites will follow the services.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Bill was born in Macomb, Ill. on August 11, 1942, a son of Isaac W. and Oma E. Haney Fender.

Bill considered himself self-employed having many different jobs throughout the years.

He was a family man who enjoyed collecting cans and traveling.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters (and spouses), Shelia Ennis, DeWitt, Iowa, Kimberly Hale, Chandler, Ariz., Linda (Juan) Delgado, DeWitt, Iowa and Annette (Shawn) Slonecker, LaCrosse, Wisc.; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Mary Fender, Moline; brother, John Fender, Davenport; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-daughter, Angela Ghys, granddaughter, Paige Fender, sister, Margaret Salazer and brother, LeRoy Fender.
