William Ray Dryoel, 67, of Rock Island, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at his home.  Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

William was born in Rock Island on June 22, 1949, a son of Robert V. and Betty J. Clayton Dryoel.  He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

William worked at Wal-Mart for the last eighteen years.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, bike riding, mushroom hunting and collecting many odds and ends.

Survivors include his daughter, Julie Foutch, Rock Island; grandchildren, Cory and Kayla Foutch and Lindsay Smith; great-grandchildren, Savannah Jo, Dominic Lee, Cora Ann Aurora and Leon James Broly; brothers, Michael Dryoel, Geneseo, Robert (JoAnn) Dryoel, Rock Island and Daniel Dryoel, East Moline; and sister, Janet (Don) Baumann, Rock Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Billy Dryoel, sister, Martha Dryoel and brother, Donald Dryoel.
