William E. Johnson, 68, Rock Island, IL passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026 at his home under the care of hospice. There will be a visitation from 4-6:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials may be made to the family.

On July 22, 1958, he was born in Rock Island to William E. Johnson Sr. and Wanda (Steele) Johnson. After graduating from Rock Island High School, he began working at Rock Island Tobacco. He had various other jobs in the Quad Cities throughout the remainder of his career.

On January 17, 1987 Bill married Christol Ringer at Taylor Ridge United Methodist Church. The couple had one daughter.

Bill came from a family of avid bowlers. He and his brother, along with his mom, bowled in numerous leagues and competed in many competitions. Bill also enjoyed going to the casino and camping.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffone Johnson; granddaughter, Selyne Johnson; nieces and nephews; and many friends, including Christol Vance who helped care for him in his last days.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, George Johnson and Debbie Bodeen.
