William M. Keely, 69, of Colona, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis.

William was born on May 20, 1952 in Moline, a son of George and Dolores (Hiett) Keely. He married Kim Frazee on October 6, 1972 in East Moline. Bill worked as an optical technician for Buds Optical in Colona for 23 years, retiring in 1996. He was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his daughters, Wendy Keely (Nicole Miller), Davenport, Mandy Schlichting (James Christian), Colona, and Sarah Keely (Alex Lopez), Colona; grandchildren, Rashel Mote and Gracie Keely.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Martin; and a grandson, John Mote IV.

We are honoring his wishes to not have formal services, instead there will be a gathering  November 19th, 5pm at 924 State St., Colona, IL, 61241. Please bring a dish to pass. There will be a bonfire, weather permitting.
