IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William "Will/Bill"
L. Adams
February 27, 1950 – March 3, 2023
William "Will/Bill" Adams, 73, passed away March 3rd, 2023, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House surrounded by family.
Will was born February 27th, 1950, in Helena, Montana. He was adopted into the loving family of Donald and Helen Adams. Will grew up in the Quad Cities where he met many of his lifelong friends. After the death of his adoptive parents, he was welcomed with open arms by his biological family. He married the love of his life, Kathleen Brent on December 3rd, 1983, at First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, Iowa. Will was loved by many. His smile was inviting, and he never met a stranger he couldn't talk to. His laugh was infectious and brought joy to all those around him. His zest for life was shown through the many things he loved. His passion for music, his love of travel, and his fierce loyalty to family and friends. Will was always willing to teach or help anyone. His curiosity and desire to learn led him down many paths. He was a musician, salesman, truck driver, installed sound systems, and developed websites.
One of his greatest blessings came later in life, being a grandfather. He would spend countless hours in the morning talking and laughing with the Quinn and Eliana before they went to school. He taught them how to think critically and was always available to play. He shared his love of camping with his grandchildren. They would sit around the firepit, talking and listening to music while making smores. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He would always state, "If I knew having grandkids would be this fun, I would have had them first".
Will had a great sense of humor including thoughts on his own funeral. He said, "Imagine a casket at the front of the room and at the end of the service the song, "Pop, goes the Weasel" plays". He was young at heart and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.
Will is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Elizabeth Adams Sosa, Michael Adams, David Adams and Katelyn (Sachin) Ramteke and his grandchildren, Quinn and Eliana; his mother Ruth Nelson and siblings Michael (Junell) Bishop, Diane Hughes, Kevin (Janice) Bishop, sister-in-law Deb Yandala, brother-in-law Jay (Susie) Brent; and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Don and Helen Adams and his brother Rev. Sherman Bishop.
