William "Bill" P. Sackett Jr., 89, of Moline passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at home.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 2106 7th Ave Rock Island. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday at Knox Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Bill was born on June 18, 1932 in Rock Island, a son of William and Lillian (Payton) Sackett. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Bill retired from the Laborers' Local Union 309, where he worked in construction for many years. He was a member of the Eureka Masonic Lodge in Milan for 30 years. His hobbies included watching tennis, golf and college football, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his two grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Lisa (Keith) Jordan, Taylor Ridge and Amy (Adam) Warren, LeClaire; grandchildren, Emily and Blake; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Sackett; and siblings, Georgia Cook, Darold "Bud" Sackett, Clifford Sackett and Robert "Bob" Sackett.
