Willie Nathaniel Holley, 62, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme St., Davenport. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Memorial Visitation is planned Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Colona American Legion, 312 Broadway St, Colona.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan is assisting the family.

Willie was born on January 7, 1954 in Indianapolis, Ind. and spent his childhood in the Chicago area. Willie worked for Local #309 Laborers Union for 22 years.  He had most recently been working for Valley Construction on road projects.  Wille greatly enjoyed gardening, working out at the RIFAC, photography and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Arkeya Lee, Gary, Ind., Aliik Holley, Rock Island and Kenyatta and Kenya Bennie field, Chicago; grandchildren, Khalid Smith, Tyreek Benniefield, Trey Holley, DraMell Lee, DraMih Lee and Meah Holley; brothers, Randolph Holley, Clinton, Iowa and Andrew Steward, Chicago; sisters, Lucretia (Robert) Banks, Carolyn Vandivier, Cecilia Muhammad and Sedalia Ford, Ohio and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
