Wilma A. Hendren, 84, of Milan, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Services for Mrs. Hendren will be 10 am, Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to QC Paws or to Beacon of Hope Hospice.

Wilma was born on July 13, 1931 in Rock Island, a daughter of Donald Streed and Dorothy Edwards Streed. She married William Hendren on November 19, 1955 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2010. Wilma worked as a secretary at Gannon's Plumbing and Heating, Rock Island for many years, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed music, concerts, gardening, reading and loved her pet cats.

Survivors include her children, Beth (Charles) Franks, Rock Island, Kelly (Russell) Dunn, Rock Island and Scott (Kelly) Hendren, St. Joseph, Illinois; grandchildren, Vince, Billy (Amber), Leah, Morgan, Collin, Andrew and Melanie; a great granddaughter, Amelia.
