Yevette Lewis, 69, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at UP Trinity, Rock Island.
Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island is assisting her family with arrangements.
Yvette Lewis was born on January 8, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, to Robert Lewis and Vivie Lee Lewis.
Yvette was a loving and devoted woman who cherished her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will always be remembered for the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren, watching and playing with them, and creating lasting family memories.
Yvette dedicated her life to caring for others through her work in nursing and home care. She had a compassionate heart and was always willing to help those who were sick or in need, offering comfort and support to countless people and their families. Her warmth, kindness, and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone around her.
Yvette leaves behind her beloved children, son Monty Carl Lewis of Illinois and daughter Chandra Lewis of Illinois; her loving sister, Debra Stevens of Illinois; her cherished grandson, Devell Lewis of Kentucky; and her treasured granddaughter, Davisha Parrow of Iowa and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Delandris Thomas Lewis and siblings, Maxine Brooks, Robert Lewis, Cartrell Lewis, Montrell Lewis, Patricia Davis, Juanita Lewis, Evette Lewis, Flemming Lewis and Eddie Lewis.
Her kindness, love, and dedication to family will never be forgotten. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of compassion and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
May her memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
